It's August 2021 and i'm on my way home from a few days away in Macclesfield. At Crewe we see a couple of freights hauled by a DB class 66 & a DRS class 88 along with ex British Rail class 153 DMU & 319 EMU plus a couple of new class 350's. At Chester it's more ex BR traction with soon to be replaced Merseyrail class 507 & 508 EMU's, and an ex Inter-City East Coast MkIV set push-pulled by a DB class 67 diesel.
