A interesting railway vid now, a train running along the street! Back in 1993 Hertfordshire Railtours (i seem to recall) ran a tour down to Weymouth and then a couple of trips along the Weymouth Tramway to the Quay. The tramway leaves the main rail network just outside Weymouth Station passes by to the west of it and heads off along the roads of Weymouth to the quayside. It was used by boat trains years ago but fell into disuse. Although it runs along roads the trackbed is Network Rail land and there are Bye-laws in place re parking over the rails! After riding on the first trip i filmed the second one seen here in the pouring rain! The train is preceeded by two railway staff to warn people the train is coming.
