SR Pacific No 34067 Tangmere Visits Newcastle - 'The Edinburgh Flyer' (1Z53) - 4th April 2026
The video shows the steam locomotive arriving and departing Newcastle Central. A few minutes after the departure Tangmere was declared a failure at Heaton, 2 miles up the line, and WCR class 47 diesel loco No. 47812 had to replace the steam loco after the train was dragged back to Newcastle Central (this part not in the video).
The train proceeded to Edinburgh 100+ minutes late.
