Lancashire Fusilier and Blue Peter at Carlisle plus 90s and some Heavy Cranes! 23 May 26

Saturday 23rd May saw not one but two steam charters into Carlisle. West Coast's Northern Belle 'Settle & Carlisle Steam Express' from Darlington saw Black 5 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier take the train from the border city to Preston on its rather serpentine run around the north west. Locomotive services Saphos Trains 'The Lakelander' saw 60532 Blue Peter in the northern fells to Carlisle.
Plus plenty of intermodals behind pairs of Class 90s and two engineer's trains heading from Carlisle Yard to work south of Darlington. These included Heavy Haul's full livery 66 with TWO Kirov cranes from SB Rail and Balfour Beatty's 125 Ton crane in the train!
