1903 NER Autocar No. 3170 at The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway - 15th May 2019
Built at York in 1903 it was fuelled by petrol that drove the electrical generators. It was one of two built that worked around Teesside and Yorkshire before withdrawal from service in 1931.
It spent the next 60 years as a holiday home before being bought for restoration in 2003. Now powered by diesel engines the Autocar made its first post restoration run in late 2018 and now runs a regular passenger service on the heritage railway line.
