Deltic No. D9000 'Royal Scots Grey' & Grid No. 56105 Visit Newcastle Central - 15th Sept 2025.
On 15th September 2025 the Deltic travelled light engine from Crewe to Heaton Depot (0Z55) via the West Coast Main Line and Tyne Valley Line and in this video it accelerates through Newcastle Central non stop 2 miles from its final destination on it's journey.
The video also shows class 56 diesel loco No. 56105 with 6S31 Doncaster Up Decoy to Millerhill SS at the station arriving and departing after a crew change. This was videoed 15 minutes before the Deltic passed though.
