Two rail tours on the West Coast Main Line with both passing through Penrith within about 20 minutes of each other. The first was Saphos Trains' rail tour ran by Locomotive Services Ltd 'The Lakelander' (1Z18) from Crewe to Carlisle which was hauled by BR Britannia Pacific No. 70000 'Britannia'. A southbound Pendolino just managed to clear the station allowing me to get a shot of the rail tour passing through at speed.

20 minutes later, The Railway Touring Company rail tour 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express' (1Z86) passed en route from Euston to Carlisle.
