One of the best European railtours I have done was on the third of February 2018. Traction was V160 002 which hauled the train from Munster to the Ski resort of Willingen branded as the Party Sonderzug. Upon arrival at Willingen the group of British cranks headed up the snowy hills and enjoyed a meal and more beer before the return journey. Music played through the tannoy, there was a disco & bar coach where most people on the train were drinking from 0730 in the morning. It was a fantastic atmosphere! Myself & my friend had a compartment to ourselves right behind the loco. V160 002 is essentially a Class 42 'Warship', and it sounds familiar. Plenty of clag is captured from the loco when its opened up, an absolute beast! Some steep hills feature, so sit back, relax & enjoy the thrash.
