LNER HST 125s at Newcastle Central + New Hitachi IEP - 26th June 2018
The early clips show two HST 125 sets at Newcastle Central on 26th June 2018 still bearing the old Virgin logos.
Later at the Discovery Museum a few hundred yards from the station we see a new Hitachi Azuma IEP train on display as part of the Great Exhibition of the North event being held in the City until 9th September 2018.
This video features HST 125 trains at Newcastle Central, operated by London & North Eastern Railways (LNER) following the termination of its contract with Virgin Trains East Coast. The footage shows these trains still displaying Virgin branding in early June 2018. Later in the video, a Hitachi Azuma IEP train is seen on display at the Discovery Museum near Newcastle as part of the Great Exhibition of the North event. Other locations mentioned include Borth and Tain, though they are not shown in the footage.
