Stephenson Steam Railway - J27 No. 65894 - 30th Anniversary Gala. 9th July 2021
An interesting Guest loco was NELPGs Worsdell class J27 No. 65894 from the North Yorkshire Moors railway. There was quite a number of these engines located at Percy Main Shed very nearby before its closure in 1965 so very appropriate to have a J27 back on it's old stamping ground after all these years.
Another guest loco was NCB 0-6-0ST No. 49 from the Tanfield Railway and a third steam loco in the form of home based Bagnall 0-6-0ST No. 401 also on duty for the three day gala event.
Well done to the organisers and all involved in running this ecellent steam gala.
