A steam locomotive, identified as 60009 Union of South Africa, is shown operating at Cosham on two separate dates. On one occasion, it is heading west towards Alton while pulling a railtour named ‘The Daylight Countryman’. Later, the LNER Class A4 locomotive is seen at Cosham heading in the opposite direction back to Alton as part of another railtour called ‘Chandler’s Ford Phoenix’. The latter event was intended to mark the re-opening of Chandlers Ford Station, though the station had already reopened several months earlier.
