The First Train on The Northumberland Line at Seaton Delaval - 15th Dec 2024.
The last time a passenger service ran on this line was early November 1964.
I took a trip to the new Seaton Delaval station on the line to see the very first passenger service from Newcastle, the 08.15 to Ashington, and this video shows that trains arrival and departure at Seaton Delaval.
Apologies for the awful sound disruption due to persistent high winds howling through the station.

The train involved is identified with headcode 2T05, and the footage shows the event as part of the line's revival after more than six decades without passenger services.
