The 200th Anniversary of The Stockton & Darlington Railway - 27th Sept 1828 to 27th Sept 2025.
To celebrate this historic day that changed the world in many ways, a re-enactment took place of the first loco hauled passenger service hauled by a 50 year old replica of the original steam loco, 'Locomotion No. 1'.
The journey took place over three days and a few video clips are included in this video of the anniversary train departing at Shildon on the 26th September and on the following day (200th anniversary day) at Skerne Bridge, Darlington where the train crossed the famous bridge in front of thousands of spectators.
I hope you enjoy this video of the 200th anniversary train. Please feel free to comment and subscribe.
