57306 Joins The GALA! | False Start at Kidderminster | 56049 STARTS The Day Before Early FINISH
In this video we see legendary Deltic 55009 heading light engine to Bewdley to begin a full day of passenger workings up and down the Severn Valley.
There was also an unusual moment at Kidderminster as Class 17 D8568 suffered a false start, with the driver needing to step down and retake the green flag before proceeding.
We also catch 57306 stretching its legs for the first time during the gala after arriving from Reading the previous day, while later in the afternoon 57604 is shunted into position ready for its 17:15 departure — its first working of the festival.
Another highlight was the fantastic sight and sound of D9551 and D8568 double-heading into Kidderminster Town, alongside a very unusual formation featuring 50033, a Class 108 DMU and 09107 arriving together!
