The amazing sight of Class 33s in Scotland
This video features three Class 33 locomotives, originally associated with the Southern Region of British Rail, which were deployed in Scotland in October 1999. Two of them, 33025 and 33030, were based at Motherwell and Aberdeen for freight duties, while 33019 remained at Motherwell as a spare. On 17 January 2001, 33030 caught fire at Huntly during service to Aberdeen. All three locomotives are still in existence today, with two appearing in the film.
Fishplate has identified 3 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 1 headcode and 3 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
