Three Spires Junction, Coventry

This video captures a train departing from the former Coventry (Keresley) Colliery site in January 1992, following its closure in October 1991. The footage shows the train being pushed onto the main line before heading north towards Lancashire. The colliery was later redeveloped into Prologis Park, and although the former branch line remained, it saw limited use after the turn of the millennium, with road transport becoming the preferred option. The transition led to increased heavy lorry traffic, raising environmental and congestion concerns.
