Description
Here’s a large selection of video clips recorded at York Station throughout March 2026.

A very interesting month at York with plenty of variety and a few special things to look out for.
This film features ‘The Whitby Flyer’ steam tour with 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ hauling the tour between York and Whitby, and 86259 ‘Les Ross’ taking the tour back to London later on.
The following week we saw 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ returning to York from Birmingham courtesy of RailAdventure as well as the NMT HST which passed through shortly before that.
Something else that has happened recently is LNER have started running services to Newcastle with their fleet of InterCity 225s, something which hasn’t happened since September 2020. I was able to ride the first Newcastle bound service on the 30th March with 91114 ‘Durham Cathedral’ hauling. The following day, 91130 ‘Lord Mayor of Newcastle’ was seen propelling 1Y20 on the second day of the Newcastle 225s.
As well as all that was the usual mix of passenger trains, including an EMR ‘Aurora’ unit on an Empty Stock move from Doncaster to Newcastle.
