Railfreight 20118 & 20132 Route Learning! | Big Buffers Flying Banana & The Britannic Explorer
We begin at Reading, where we witness a double-headed heavy haul freight train, alongside 66748 hauling the luxurious Britannic Explorer.
The action then moves to Worcester, where Network Rail’s HST test train passes through with 43014 and 43062 working from Landore TMD to Leicester LIP.
The main highlight is a very rare sighting of two Class 20 locomotives, 20118 and 20132, running light engine between Hereford and Worcester, presumably undertaking route-learning duties. We see the pair arrive and later depart Worcester Shrub Hill after spending some time in the middle road.
Alongside these unusual workings, there are plenty of regular passenger services and a second sighting of the Britannic Explorer, this time formed with 66748 and 66744.
