Description
A combined rail and tube station in Kensington, on the edge of Central London which derives its name from the adjacent Olympia exhibition centre. Long gone now are the days of the Motorail terminal which is now a car park. Back in 1986 an interesting mix of traffic was to be seen including, as shown here, Southern Region's class 33 and 73 locomotives amidst other through passenger and freight traffic which used the line as a gateway to the south of England and ultimately, the south coast.
