SVR - Steam Restrictions LIFTED as 7714 RETURNS | Inspiration Train & D1062 Spirited Departure!
We first see the immaculate 13268 at Kidderminster with an impressive departure, complete with a bit of wheelslip as it gets underway. Following the lifting of the SVR heatwave steam restrictions, the railway returned to its original rostered timetable turns, with crews receiving very late notice. Despite the early rush, 7714 was quickly prepared and ready for action — and it sounded absolutely impeccable arriving into and departing from Kidderminster throughout the day.
To round things off, we catch D1062 departing with the 11:45 diesel-hauled service, putting on a superb performance in true diesel style and proving once again why it’s always such an impressive sight on the railway.
