Spotting on the Midland Main Line โ€“ Sileby & Syston

Channel: John K Wells
Player
Description
As part of the first phase of the Ivanhoe Line project, the stations at Sileby and Syston were officially reopened on 27 May 1994. This development not only restored vital passenger rail services to the communities they serve but also created a fresh point of interest for railway enthusiasts and photographers. Situated on the busy Midland Main Line, the stations once again provided opportunities to observe and capture the wide variety of passenger and freight traffic that passes along this historic route. Taking advantage of this, our photographer spent a pleasant late spring morning here in 1996 recording events.
