After missing Thursday’s opening day due to a driver shortage, Class 56 No. 56049 finally made its first appearance of the gala and certainly didn’t disappoint.
We also capture fantastic double headed workings featuring D9551 and D7018, producing some superb vintage diesel sounds throughout the event.
To complete the guest line-up, Class 57 locomotives 57306 and 57604 also arrived during the day, adding even more interest to an already packed diesel festival.
