45407 WAKES UP Locals & STORMS through Lancashire on the Buxton Spa Express! 14/3/26
Ian Rileys immaculate ex LMS Class 5 45407 heads up the trip to Buxton putting on a spectacular show as we chase the tour through Lancashire and Greater Manchester!
We started out early in freezing temperatures to catch the outward leg from Preston to Manchester with the train running in reverse formation then shot over to Clifton where we had a close call with the service train as the steam tour was running behind schedule! This then meant we were cutting it fine at Location 3 at Blackrod as that was touch and go on the timings already!
Next up was Hoghton Bank next to the Level Crossing and finally onto Walk Mill on the climb up to Copy Pit where Camera B decided to focus on the nice field of grass rather than the train or back drop of Pendle Hill! Enjoy!
