Trains at Leeds - 28/01/2026
I came out to film some of the LNER InterCity 225 91 sets, specifically 91119 after its long absence. My original plan was to go to Wakefield Westgate and get a shot of 91119 there, but another 91 set in front of my train experienced an unexpected emergency brake application and was blocking the line towards Wakefield for almost 2 hours, which caused many services to be cancelled or in my case diverted via a different route and avoiding the Wakefield area. I had no choice but to bail out at Leeds and film here instead.
It actually didn't turn out to be a bad filming session with two Freight trains passing through and three 91 sets, with the first one being 91101 'Flying Scotsman' heading back to Neville Hill after its scheduled service was cancelled, the second being 91110 'Battle of Britain Memorial Flight'; the one that was blocking the line and finally InterCity Swallow liveried 91119 'Bounds Green InterCity Depot'.
