On a very cold February morning we started of our 100 mile plus tour of South Wales following 66013 and 60040 from Margam Yard to Briton Ferry. The tour stopped short of the sidings and reversed into Port Talbot Parkway where we got a shot from the southern side of the station. Next a quick run up to Baglan and then to Aberthaw. This time the wind was very cold, but despite a delay it was worth the wait. Next we drove through Cardiff, and north to Ystrad Mynach for her climb up to Cwmbargoed. Having been informed that the tour was not planned to reach the top, the final run was down to Caerphilly. But a delay of over an hour, and no show, made it too dark to stay, so back home in the warm car. Why the delay, do you know?
