Here's my summary of events on the "Rails in Wales" from January until May 2025. Included are visits to Pontypool and New Inn, where the footbridge and car park were eventually opened, but class 67 hauled services now passed at high speed ! Next to Cwmbargoed, one of my favorite locations for coal movements, which has now fallen silent due to pressure from locals for its closure. Later I'm down at Abergavenny to record more 67s, but initially to see the new glass sided footbridge. A new aspect for photography.
Taffs Well has seen many changes, but I had to be quick before the depot became surrounded by high fences and the old footbridge was removed.
I've also included steam at Pencoed and finally busy times at Bishton, with its signal box, level crossing and underpass.
