On our return home from a couple of days in the North East, in August 1997, we stop off at Doncaster to catch 89001 in GNER livery. Drive on for a few hours at Warrington. Here we catch a couple of 31s on the steep climb up from the yard onto the West Coast Mainline. Load Haul and Mainline liveries are remembered as well as 37s, 47s, 56s, a 58, 60s, 86s, 87s, 90s, 91s and the HSTs. All this in one day! Happy to share with you our memories from over 24 years ago when we didn't even know about You Tube!
