SPECTACULAR! The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express with LMS Black 5 44932 sans 46115. 21/01/23.
Horwich built LMS Black 5 44932 and 12 coach train supported by West Coast Railways Class 47 47802.
IZ30. Manchester Victoria to Carlisle & return. Originally booked as 46115.
Shot at Chorley, near Blackburn twice (1 courtesy of my dad) & finally Long Preston where the tour was running about 40 mins down and the sun had moved a bit further round than I’d planned and also melted the nice frost seen in the warm up shot! Also filmed a few extras which are sprinkled in with the winter steam magic.
Enjoy!
