Description
On Sunday March 3rd 2024 the mainline from Bridgend to Swansea was closed, to enable new track to be laid at the top of "Stormy Bank". Starting at
Pencoed I recorded 59003 and 66849 on the 6C22 Westbury - Bridgend ballast train for Stormy. Next my drive took me to the roadbridge, where as luck would have it, the work was passing underneath! Note the speed at which the sleepers are lifted of the train and positioned. Final clip from 2017 with memories of HST passing the same spot
