DISASTER! D345 + 45231. Class 40 fails, is fixed then is bowled by Pendo! Black 5 impressive!
Shot 1 - The Lakelander return leg - Black 5 45231 Sherwood Forester races out of euxton loop with a great exhaust and Intercity 47 for company.
Shot 2 D345 (40145) after failing on the outward leg was fixed at Crewe then sent up to Carnforth to head the return to Leicester. After 10 minutes of nothing before the charter a slow northbound pendo ruins the day and the shot!
Final shot is 45231 north of Preston this morning heading to Carlisle.
Decent Stanier action though so could have been worse!
UPDATE! we believe the class 40 might actually be D213 Andania and not D345.
