A couple of hours at Cock Lane with slow trains and stationary trains due to a signalling problem which seemed concentrated around New England North Junction. Most north bound services were using the Down Slow. One unusual working was the Ketton Cement train running north, it usually runs south from Oakham and reverses into Ketton works. First glimpse of the Lumo adorned with Smurfs. Cross Country's refurbished 170101 in red livery and the two new class 99's being hauled back to Peterborough by 47727.
The sun came out in the evening at Lincoln Road about five minutes before the the London Underground units came back from Goole hauled by a couple of 66's.
