Description
March 3rd 1996 behind 37412/895 we depart Aberthaw, non stop through Bridgend noting the line to Tondu on the right and then down to Briton Ferry. Here we reverse under the M4 and A48 on the branch to Baglan Bay ( BP Chemicals ). This is now used by Colas as a pick up point for logs; normally 56 hauled. At the end of this clip I've included the Taffy Tug on the same track in August 2014; note the overgrowth ! The final thrash is the climb up Stormy Bank passing Port Talbot Steel Works, Margam Yard and Pyle Station, a distance of 16 miles back to Bridgend...turn up the volume for maximum effect and enjoy !!...............part 4 soon.
