Back in March 2006 I spent my 2nd day at Newport and Cardiff, having previously been trackside between the 2 stations, but due to heavy snow showers this venture was curtailed. The variety of traction is the biggest change back then, even a class 09 shunts back and forth to Llanwern. Also 50031/37411 pass through with a couple of vans, followed by t/t 47847/805 with Virgin stock destined for Canton and eventual use on the Valley lines.
Class 60s feature both light engine and on freight as well as EWS and Freightliner 66s one on the "Railtrack" service. Finally the clip of the service for Rhymney features the Virgin stock !
