Whats this? Another trip on the ECML? Count me in! Well after a 4am start and a fun tube ride to even get over to Kings Cross i find myself up in Nottinghamshire in the town called Newark Northgate. Famous for the flat crossing just to the north of the station where EMR run services to Nottingham and Lincoln. I will admit i did have a Bacon roll on the Azuma up which was pretty decent! Anyway you will see services from:
- LNER (800, 801, 91+mk4)
- Hull Trains (802)
- Lumo (803)
- Grand Central (180, 221)
- EMR (170)
- Freight from: Freightliner (66)
Just the one freight movement but nice to see all kinds of units!
Specials from:
- 801226 'Together'
- 91110 & 91111 out on there sets
- 57012, 47815 & 47848 in sidings as Thunderbirds
- ROG 37510 making a stop at the bridge north of the station and reversing.
- Both Grand Central Voyagers were out this day. 221142+221143
