RESCUE MISSION! 60532 Blue Peter drags BROKEN Deltic back to Crewe! 55022 / D9000 30/11/25
The Deltic failed on todays LSL Edinburgh Xmas Markets tour and was due to take the trsin back to KGX. 57311 stepped in to hail the tour and so 60532 used steam powerr
to drag the poorly Deltic home to Crewe on 5Z33.
Also passing us today on the WCML was Intercity 47 47805 also heading back to Crewe on 5Z63 (with coaching stock and 47593 from yesterdays tour to Barrow). 30/11/25

A LNER A2 60532 Blue Peter is seen assisting a Deltic D9000 Royal Scots Grey (55022) during a rescue operation on the West Coast Main Line. The Deltic had failed during an Edinburgh Xmas Markets tour and was being returned to Crewe on service 5Z33, with steam power used for the journey. Another Intercity 47 47805 is also noted heading back to Crewe on service 5Z63. The footage includes scenes from Charnock and Leyland.
