Severn Valley Railway - Winter Steam Gala 2025 - 04-05/01/25

Seeing in the start of 2025 at the Severn Valley Railway with the Winter Steam Gala, with frosty and snowy weather conditions to match. The gala saw members of the Severn Valley's steam home fleet out on the line, most notably being recently overhauled GWR 1400 Class 1450. Having been withdrawn at the end of 2020, 1450 was overhauled at The Flower Mill, before debuting at the Avon Valley at the end of 2024. Paired with GWR 5700 Class Pannier Tank 7714 throughout the event, 1450 appears in a base coat of GWR green, awaiting completion of the livery with lining and lettering. Other locos featuring at the event were GWR Manor Class 7812 'Erlestoke Manor', Hall Class 4930 'Hagley Hall', LMS Stanier Mogul 13268 and BR Standard 4MT 75069.
