March 3rd 1996 behind 37412/895 we pass on the mainline through Cardiff Central and run into Canton Depot pass various 37/47/56 and stop at Ninian Park. We then reverse and head towards Aberthaw our next stop. ( This is a triangle of track where many steam locos turn around.) Cogan Curve is next followed by 2 tunnels before we reach Porthkerry Viaduct and views of the River Severn towards Minehead. We're next held by the box at Aberthaw, still standing in 2015, before we move off to Bridgend in part 3....
