🚂 Severn Valley Railway Before the Heatwave Closure | Enjoy SVR Action While Services Are Suspended
With the Severn Valley Railway temporarily closed on 24th and 25th June due to extreme heat warnings, I thought I’d share this footage captured before the hot weather arrived, giving us a chance to enjoy some SVR action while services are suspended.
The railway has taken the decision to close for the safety and wellbeing of staff, volunteers, visitors and to help protect its infrastructure during the exceptionally high temperatures forecast across the region.
Thankfully, we can still appreciate the sights and sounds of the railway through previously recorded footage until trains return.
Best wishes to everyone at the SVR and all those affected by the temporary closure. We look forward to seeing services resume once conditions improve.
