My first day in Kazakhstan was spent in the Astana outskirts, on a freight only line where the line splits. Traffic was in the hands of Alsthom Prima AZA4T locos and Soviet Era VL80s in a mix of liveries. Due to the slow running of trains here, the passing of wagons had been sped up rather than cut out incase anyone is interested in the wagon loads. Filmed on the 9th of June 2026.
