Emirates reintroduced an Airbus A380 on the Dubai service from the beginning of July 2023, so this was a chance to see that at (very) close quarters.
There was a certain amount of excitement as after landing the A380 was held for around 90 minutes on the taxiway with fire appliances in attendance. It would seem hydraulic fluid or similar had leaked on to the landing gear causing an issue - but no apparent fire.
Local news outlets were reluctant to get the truth get in the way of a good story though....
