Wednesday 15th April 2026 - New stations on the Camp Hill line, Birmingham
As far as I can remember (which isn't saying much) I've never travelled on the line before...some CrossCountry services use it to avoid the busy Cross City line through University & Selly Oak, but otherwise it's just the odd freight train...
So if nothing else, they will give a different viewpoint should anything 'interesting' run...
I caught the train at New St and got off at each station to film and take some photographs, then travelled 'no stop' (as it were) back into New St from Kings Norton, the service being half hourly run by two 196 units and takes about 20 mins each way....
Thanks for watching

A video captures the reopening of three stations—Moseley, Kings Heath, and Pineapple Road—on the Camp Hill line in Birmingham following their closure in 1941. The footage includes travel on a half-hourly service operated by two Class 196 units between New Street and Kings Norton. The route is noted for occasional freight traffic and some CrossCountry services using it to bypass the Cross City line. The video also features trainspotting elements, with mentions of various locomotive classes including Class 43 and Class 195.
