Amazingly I hadn't been to Crewe for many years...it certainly wasn't the place it was in the 1980/1990s when there was a constant flow of locomotives to and from the works and depots...and it has changed again now.
I spent about 45 minutes there just to refresh myself, so a few shots of TfW 197s, Pendolinos and an unliveried Avanti Hitachi 805 unit on test, plus some views of Locomotives Services Ltd and some of the 'heritage' locos stabled there...
I soon made my way down to Stafford.....
