Our Best Ever Railtour Heist??? 33s, 201 DEMU & A 37!!! - 18/07/2026

Description
West Coast Railways were operating a railtour service from London Paddington - Minehead on The West Somerset Railway. The tour was expected to use a steam loco however the sun had other plans and gave the UK a heatwave! This meant WCR had to find a loco to haul this tour.

This happened to be 33207 & 33025 which we see at Newbury.

We then see the Hastings Class 201/202 DEMU which was on a tour from Hastings. This also went to Minehead but went via the GWML and then up to Oxford, then Worcester.

Vintage Trains operated a railtour from Birmingham Snow Hill - Portsmouth Harbour. Again, this was meant to use a steam loco for traction but of course, they were BANNED. Instead 37240 took over which was the perfect loco for it!

These two tours were seen at Didcot Parkway
