A pair of Colas class 43 power cars through Mexborough twice!
Amongst the normal diet of trains, I filmed X-Country 220014 coming off the Roundwood chord, only the 2nd time I have seen a passenger train take that route. It was scheduled for that line so I assume it is to keep drivers conversant with that link in case of diversions.
This footage captures a pair of Colas Class 43 power cars operating in the Mexborough area, likely as part of training exercises. Other trains filmed include X-Country service 220014, which was observed using the Roundwood chord—a route typically reserved for contingency purposes. Additional trains and locations featured in the video include Adwick, Cleethorpes, Doncaster, Liverpool Lime Street, Newcastle, Reading, Scarborough, Sheffield, and York.
