I spent a while at Dasiyfield Junction Levelcrossing in Blackburn on The Blackburn to Hellifield line on a cloudy 24th of July 2026 and observed the following train movements.
The 2N58 passenger service running from Rochdale to Clitheroe was operated by Northern class 150 Diesel Multiple Units numbers 150103 and 150140.
The 2J27 passenger service running from Clitheroe to Rochdale was operated by Northern class 150 diesel multiple units 150104 and 150101.
The 6J85 aggregate freight service running from Ribblehead Virtual Quarry to Brin' Heath Down Aggregate sidings was operated by GBRF class 66 diesel locomotive number 66775.
The 2N59 passenger service running from Rochdale to Clitheroe was operated by Northern class 150 and class 156 diesel multiple units numbers 156460 and 150201.
The 0N35 light engine service running from Tuebrook Sidings to Clitheroe Castle Cement was operated by GBRF class 66 diesel locomotive number 66671.
