Friday at the Welland Steam Rally celebrating 60 years! Traction Engines, Heavy Haulage & LOTS MORE!
The second time I have visited and for me and I'd say it's certainly one of the closest comparable steam events to the much missed Great Dorset Steam Fair, which used to be held in the fields of Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford Forum in Dorset, and the main arena always had things going on today, including engines and vehicles working hard as they climbed the hill under loaded, with ploughing demonstrations and even a standard gauge and narrow gauge railway in operation around the site!
These clips are just a selection of some of the events on Friday from this large scale show that boasted a great collection of steam, showmans, heavy haulage, military and vintage vehicles, classic cars, bikes, agricultural and commercial vehicles, tractor pulling, crafts tents, model tents, fairgrounds, stalls and way more, so not everything is covered and with a site so vast you'd need a couple of days to properly explore and do it justice, but certainly one we'll be back for in the future! | 24.07.2026
