**BEN AINSLIE RETURNS** Romic 20007 & 20205 dragging Javelin 395008 after derailment! 23/7/26
Sadly this wasn't the best footage I was hoping to get of the Javelin drag as some "spotter" decided to run after the drag thinking he can out run 20007 [he was proved wrong], and ran infront of mine and my friends clips, while also crossing the yellow line down the bottom end of the platform which is inconsiderate and dangerous...
Romic paired duo 20007 & 20205 "Romic" [Operated by Railadventure] are seen slowly dragging through P6 at Ashford International with 1/3 of Javelin 395008 sandwiched in between translator barrier wagons (UBV Universal Barrier Vehicles) on 7Q95 Eastleigh Arlington Zg to Ashford Down Sidings.
Southeastern Javelin 395008 was involved in an earlier derailment back in Ramsgate Christmas 2024 with the unit being out of action for almost 3 months until an attempt of taking it out of the sidings with 66797. The unit would then undergo splitting with the 1/3 damaged section being taken by road up to Southampton Docks, and the 2/3 of the unit being taken back to Ashford sidings and held there until further notice.
A video shows Romic locomotives 20007 and 20205, operated by Railadventure, slowly dragging Southeastern Javelin 395008 through P6 at Ashford International. The Javelin, which had been out of service following a derailment in Ramsgate earlier in 2024, was being moved with the assistance of barrier wagons. The footage also includes commentary about an individual interfering with the movement, crossing a safety line on the platform. The train was en route from Eastleigh to Ashford Down Sidings under headcode 7Q95.
