Description
Saturday 25th July at Carlisle station with SEVEN types of locomotive as well as passenger trains.Today's highlight was the visit by 125 Group's HST set, mostly in Inter City Swallow livery but with 43159 at the north end.43159 was part of the set that reached a speed of 148.5mph in 1987: a world record for a diesel hauled train.
We also see a Colas 37 left at Carlisle due to an issue - it was started up bu the technician seemed to do a lot of head scratching and it stayed put. Plenty of 90s, and 88 and 68 and Class 70 on the logs. The cement empties from Mossend to Clitheroe also passed through!
