Description
The Rail Operations Group invited me to join one of their drivers for the day to travel on board an iconic Class 37 Locomotive up the West Coast Mainline from Crewe to Kilmarnock to work a job to pick up a train.

So I got to ride in the cab of the 37 and talk to Rob about his job, and just why these trains are so well loved, and still running after 60 years in service!

First train up was the 0S08 0732 Crewe South Yard to Kilmarnock
The return journey was 5Q36 1424 Kilmarnock to Allerton Depot with 769 450

An incredible website that keeps track of all Class 37 movements is here : https://www.class37.co.uk/
