Description
Saturday 1st August at Carlisle, Armathwaite and Plumpton when Class 86 Les Ross appears on the Cumbrian Mountain Express. Saving a crew and path down the West Coast Main Line after its arrival, the 86 is dragged at the rear of the CME to Hellifield and Preston. We see it at Carlisle and later headed south at Armathwaite. Then we have the 90s both at Carlisle and at speed at Plumpton. A pendolino doing 125mph and a 397 doing 105mph also.
We finish with the cement empties from PD Sterling's siding at Mossend south to Clitheroe.
